Features of Products

1. Magnetic Core

The three-limb iron core is made of oblique cut Grain-oriented, seven-step silicon steel lamination insulated on both sides, guaranteeing low losses and low noise. These values are even improved by laser treatment. It is protected on the surface with a flash-proof varnish in order

to prevent the sheet from corrosion and to reduce the noise.

2. The winding

The winding as the centerpiece of the transformer must be especially protected – both against high electrical stress due to external overvoltage and against mechanical overloads by short circuits. Varelen transformers are systematically designed to meet these requirements. The

windings are made of copper or aluminum. Low-voltage windings are made of strip or flat wire, and the high voltage windings are manufactured from round or profile wire. (“diamond-dotted paper”) bonds the winding into a compact block while drying and increases the short-circuit capacity

additionally.

3. The Tank
Whether during transport or operation –the tank must be absolutely tight under mechanical stress. Preconditions to achieve this are constructional experience, the most modern calculation methods, and high-quality welding work. Special attention is paid to corrosion protection.

Pretreatment of the surface is processed by phosphating pickling, contributes to corrosion protection, just like multi-coating with preset drying times for each layer. On request, hot-dip galvanization provides for even better protection.

Oxygen-free copper lines of lower resistivity, which will become smoother and burr-free after series of additional surface treatment, so the load loss of our transformer is lower and the electric performance is better.
High-quality silicon-steel plates which are of lower unit loss, and the no-load of the transformers is lower.
High-quality wooden laminating insulation pieces, which won’t split or move even under the influence of short circuit.
Thoroughly filtrated transformer oil containing less water, gas and impurities, which makes our transformers work better.
High-quality rubber sealing material, which can prevent the transformers form aging or leakage.

·working conditions

1. The maximum ambient air temperature shall not exceed 40 ℃, and the minimum shall not below - 25 ℃;

2. The altitude shall not exceed 1000m. If special customized transformers and low-voltage components are used, the altitude can reach 4000m;

3. The vertical inclination is no more than 5 °, and no violent vibration and impact;

4. The air humidity is not more than 90% (+ 25 ℃);

5. No gas and conductive dust that will seriously affect the insulation of transformer, no explosion hazard and corrosion of electrical components;

6. Outdoor wind speed shall not exceed 35m / s.

7. If service conditions beyond the above, specially customized product is available.
